Obituary for Donald David "Don" Nabess

Donald David Nabess, dearly loved husband, father and grandfather, 67 years of age, of Medicine Hat, Alberta passed away peacefully on April 25, 2016 at Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, AB. with his family by his side. Born in Cormorant, MB to Patrice and Maria (Parenteau) Nabess he lived his life in Thicket Portage, Cormorant and The Pas, until he and Donna retired to Medicine Hat, AB.
Don was a very gifted and amazing man, not only musically but also with his family, people, and life in general. He began entertaining people with his musical gifts, talents and personality at a very young age, alongside his brothers. People from all over loved to hear him sing and play music, as he had such passion and energy
In his spare time he was an avid sports fan and loved watching Football, Curling and Hockey.
Don leaves to mourn his wife and best friend, Donna, of over 46 years. They were married in Winnipeg on August 11, 1969.
Don was extremely loving and proud of his two daughters, Penny Nabess (Leroy Scott) of Medicine Hat, AB. Tracey Nabess (Troy Taylor) of Medicine Hat, AB. and his granddaughter, Jennifer Nabess of Medicine Hat, AB.
Don is also survived by his sister Gladys (Bill) Mercredi and his brother Freddy (Elsie) Nabess. As well as his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends that he missed dearly.
A service to celebrate Don's life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion at 302 Broadway Ave W, Redcliff, AB.
