Obituary for Richard John Scott

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Richard John Scott on October 13, 2013 – surrounded by much love from those close and in the hearts of those afar. Richard was born on May 11, 1947 to Harold and Daisy Scott, the eldest of six children. Richard was predeceased by his father, Harold. He is dearly remembered and survived by his mother, Daisy, brothers Keith (Bev), Philip, Gerald (André), Charles (Anne) and sister Pamela(Dave) and children, Shannon (Travis), Ian (Tanya) and his beloved grandchildren, Jorja, Hunter and Ronin. He enjoyed the company of Travis’ children, Laine, Rylie and Mary . He also leaves many nieces and nephews and friends to treasure his memory. The family wishes to thank Pat for her support and care during this challenging time.
Richard’s family wish to offer their deepest gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their tenderness and care and for always going above and beyond.
We also want to thank Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel for their sensitivity and professionalism.
A ”come & go” celebration of his life will be held at the Ramada Inn (Conference Room) 773 -8th St. SW in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, October 23 from 3-6pm. A second Memorial Service will be held in Winnipeg on October 27, 2013.
