To the entire Tenzer and extended family, we send our deepest condolences on the passing of Mel. His positive, cheerful nature and great sense of humor were a gift to those whose lives he touched especially the ones fortunate enough to work for him. Mel was my first boss and one who played a pivotal role in my career. After staying home for many years to raise our children, I was lucky enough to return and have Mel as my boss for a second time. I count these blessings twice as Mel’s actions were defining moments that led in the end to a successful career at the ERCB.

My prayer for your family during this sad time is that you may feel comfort in knowing just how highly Mel was regarded by those who were able to work with and enjoy such a great man and truly exceptional boss.

Mel hired me into my first job at the ERCB in 1979 ad the mail clerk in the Production Accounting Department. Mel was kind, knowledgeable and interested in you as a person. I left the organization in 1992 but remember him as a leader of integrity

We are so saddened to hear of Mel's passing and will miss him dearly. Mel was a kind and gentle man who always had a smile on his face and was liked by everyone. He was a quiet man with a great sense of humor . We were blessed to have him as a brother-in-law and will always treasure the fond memories of times shared over the years at his home in Calgary, at Stampeder Football games, at the cabin in Kananaskis, and trips to Florida.

Auf Wiedersehen Mel ...
