To the Oduor Family:

I just checked my work email and was notified of the loss of Kefa. I cannot express how sorry I am to hear this news. I had the pleasure of teaching one of Kefa's children, a wonderful person, and met his family once. What a blessing this family is to the community. My most heartfelt sympathies.

I will cherish our times when we used to skate with the boys at the sunken park; and the road trip to Bomet with your family. These were such fun times. Kefa and Christine you made such wonderful parents, sharing your wisdom on raising kids, watching you interact with Matthew and Jonathan in a way that commands respect while showing them love.
My heart breaks for you Christine and the boys and pray that you may find strength in God's word through this difficult time.

I remember the first time when we came from Lethbridge to visit you and your family. We were at the door and you were at the dining table. You joyfully welcomed us , even though it was your first time to see us. I was drawn to your love for God and the positive attitude that you radiated. You left us in stitches telling us funny stories like the one about 'how to eat ugali' (ng'wenyo). You were indeed an inspiration to me and to others.
Christine, Jonathan and Matthew (what a beautiful family), I can imagine the pain that you have in your hearts and I pray that God's grace will be sufficient for you at this time. The dedication that you showed to Kefa is beyond words. I am blessed to have known you all. Take heart in God's comfort.

Kefa, I will not say goodbye because I know that I will see you again when the trumpet of the Lord shall sound. You fought a good fight of faith and you won the race. Rest now at the feet of Jesus, till we meet again.
