Obituary

Obituary for John William Sheane

John William Sheane passed away peacefully in the morning Monday September 9, 2019. John is survived by his brother James Sheane of Calgary, AB, his three children Kevin John (Geraldine) Sheane, Pamela Maureen Sheane (Jeanne) Robinson, and Heather Anne (Tom) Sheane. his six grandchildren: Cassandra, Cedric, Coralie, Clarisse (Kelsey), Anthony, and Arianna.

John was born on February 16, 1942 in Winnipeg, MB to Cecil Parker James Sheane and Pricilla Anne nee Battley Sheane. John married the love of his life Maureen Caroline nee Smeall at the tender age of 18.on July 29, 1960. The proved their love and devotion to one another for over 57 years!

During the early years of their marriage they moved several times throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and finally settled down in Calgary, Alberta in 1973. The majority of John’s work life was in sales.

He enjoyed building his own computers, searching for deals online, and developed a love for gaming and said he would be part of a guild called The Ancients in the game World of Warcraft since he was a grandfather when he started playing it. He loved working with his wife out in their garden and mastered the art of puttering.

Dad, growing up you gave us stability, taught us the importance of working hard, and loved them though you often found it hard to express it to them. I wish we had more laughs and more hugs. I love you, Heather Anne
