Mr. John Huery, beloved husband of Mrs. Stella Huery of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at the age of 80 years. John also leaves to cherish his memory two children, Edward (Cindy) of Airdrie and Carolyn (Andrew) McLean of Australia; three grandchildren, Elias, Edan, and James; one brother, Mike; and one sister, May Hamilton. John was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Annie; one brother, Fred; one sister, Mary (Leo) Breton; one brother-in-law, Bob Hamilton; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Huery. John was born in Arena, Saskatchewan on June 24th, 1933, the son of Fred Huery and Annie Stefanko. He farmed in Saskatchewan until October 1985 when he moved to Medicine Hat and began working for the City. In 2011, John moved to Airdrie and resided in assisted-living until the time of his passing.
