It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of beloved mother & grandmother Florence Alberta Brower (nee Reierstad) in Medicine Hat on July 1, 2020 at the age of 97 years.
Florence was the 4th child born to John & Liva (Pederson) Reierstad of Manyberries, AB on October 26, 1922. She was predeceased by her parents; siblings, Mina (Minnie) Prouty, Mabel Hedley, & Clifford Reierstad; beloved husband of 47 years Lynn Brower; and son, Roy Brower.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Valerie Brower; Roy's children, Pearl (Dean) Jones, & Gordon Brower; and beloved pet, Miss Muffet. Florence moved to Medicine Hat in 1942 and worked at the Steam Laundry before taking a secretarial course at Garbutt's Business College. She then returned to the Steam Laundry as a bookkeeper until she caught the eye of Lynn Brower. They were married in Shelby, MT on June 30, 1947. They operated Brower's General Store in Etzikom, AB as well as the Massey Furguson Dealership before moving to the Reid Ranch south west of Seven Persons. In the fall of 1981, they retired to Medicine Hat where she resided until the time of her passing. The family would like to express their deepest thanks for the wonderful care Flo has received over the last few years from Dr Foley & the Staff at the Margery E Yuill Cancer Clinic, Joy & Staff at Home Care, and everyone at St. Joseph's Carmel Hospice. There will be a private memorial celebration of Florence's life at the end of July. The family will reach out with details of the service at a later date. Anyone wishing to make donations in memory of Florence may do so to St Joseph's Carmel Hospice. 156 3rd Street NE Medicine Hat, AB T1A 5M1. Condolences may be sent through or to subject heading Florence Brower.

Dear Valerie & Family--we were very sorry to hear that your Mom/Grandma has passed away. She was a wonderful lady & always a pleasure to visit with. When Richard & I were married back in 1966, I'll never forget the warm & friendly welcome we got from your mom when we went to town for groceries. Trust me it meant a lot when I was getting used to farm living.
You've been truly blest having your mom around for so many wonderful years.
I'm sure she'll be sadly missed by all of us,but what wonderful memories she leaves behind. Sincere sympathy.
Richard & Gladys
Take care----

So sorry to hear of Florence's passing. I always felt like she almost raised me. I started working for your parents when I was 15 years of age. Florence really took me under her wings and taught me many things that helped me though my lifetime. I was truly blessed to know her. Valerie, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Larry & I really enjoyed our visits. It really is a blessing when you can live to 97 years of age and have a strong mind.
Our sincerest condolences, Valerie.
Ida and Larry Ehnes
