Lorraine Ida Alcock, beloved wife of Mike Alcock of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, September 11th, 2016 at the age of 72 years. Lorraine also leaves to cherish her memory three children, Debra (Blair) Boudreau, Edward "Ed" (Kelly), and Richard "Rick" (Shannon); six grandchildren, Anthony "Tony" (Tiffany) and Tanya Bateman (Paul Gauthier), Samantha and Stephanie Alcock, Corey and Shawn Alcock; five great-grandchildren, Griffen, Desiree, Teagan, Gabriella, and Abigail; one sister, Loretta (Bill) Brown; one nephew, David Brown (Shannon); and one brother-in-law, Al (Lynn) Alcock. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, George and Lillian Miller. Lorraine was born in Calgary, Alberta and was raised and educated there. She met Mike in Calgary and they were married on June 7th, 1965. Military life took them many places including seven years in Germany, Gagetown, New Brunswick, Calgary, Ottawa, and finally Suffield. Along the way, Lorraine developed many life-long friendships. In 1991, they made their home in Medicine Hat. Lorraine enjoyed family life with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine also loved crafts such as painting, sewing, beading and her gardening. She also enjoyed golfing and travelling to places like Thailand. In recent years, she really enjoyed the trek south to Yuma, Arizona for the winter and the numerous friends and acquaintances she met there. It was a Great Life and she had no regrets. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
