Obituary for Logathe Niebergall (Yauck)

Logathe (Loggie) Niebergall passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Carmel Hospice on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 89 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold; her parents; and two of her 5 siblings. She is also survived by her 3 sons and their families, Ray & Bev, Cal & Bonnie, Stu & Patty; seven grandchildren, Chris, Tim (Polly), Jill (Mark), Mike (Deb), Amy (Tim), Alex, & Adam; and four great grandchildren, Claire, Matt, Ben & Logan. Mom had a sharp mind that lasted right up until her passing. As a result, she made a conscious decision that quality was more important than quantity, which her family whole heartedly supported. Mom enjoyed bridge and other card games, but Scrabble was her favorite. She was an extremely good at scrabble, and occasionally let her opponents falsely believe they might beat her, but they never could. Her faith was very strong and as a result was very active in various Church activities her whole life. A Private family graveside service will be held in September with Pastor Jeff Decelle officiating. Memorial gifts in Loggie's memory may be made to the Canadian Lutheran World Relief, 600 - 177 Lombard Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3B 0W5 or to the Medicine Hat and District Health Foundation, 666 - 5th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.
