Remembering Ted

I only just saw that Ted had passed and I want to send my condolences to the family.

I remember Ted when I was a little girl  -  he used to play the banjo, while my brother-in-law, Herbert Anhorn played the accordian.  Whenever I looked at Ted he would move his forehead and eyebrows up and down and make me laugh.  Many, many years later we were both at our Aunt and Uncle's 50th anniversary.  I didn't realize he was there, but I looked at this man and there he was, moving his forehead and eyebrows up and down at me.  What a character.  I always liked him.  I'm sure you will all miss him dearly.

Viola Szepesi ("Tootsie" Schlaht)

Ted and I were cousins.  Ted's mother (Charlotte) and my father (Emil) were siblings.
