Obituary for Tillie Pauline Sheuer (Goetz)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Tillie Pauline Sheuer. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Tillie passed away peacefully in Calgary on Monday, February 1st, 2016 at the age of 94 years. Tillie leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Marilynn Newfeld of Calgary, and Joy Osgood of Grand Forks British Columbia; six grandchildren, Chris (Jenna) Osgood, Mitchell (Melody) Osgood, Jeff Newfeld, Cyrie (Chris Pinquet), Dean Newfeld, and Wade (Sharon) Newfeld; seven great grandchildren, Joshua (Amanda) Parker, Alexandra Parker, Mackenzie Osgood, Sydney Osgood, Max Osgood, Bo Newfeld, and Misty Newfeld; two great great grandchildren, Sydney Parker and Ally Parker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tillie was predeceased by her husband, Ed Sheuer; her parents, Emilie and Peter Goetz; three brothers, Alfred, Herb, and Edwin; three sisters, Leah Olsen, Alma Langford, and Irene Pederson; as well as two sons-in-law, Ken Newfeld and Peter Perepelkin. Tillie was born on March 24th, 1921 at Surprise, Saskatchewan. She married Ed Sheuer on July 1st, 1939 in Medicine Hat where they continued to make their home. The family will fondly remember the many happy celebrations, including their 50th and 60th anniversaries that they shared together, they actually did celebrate 62 years. In her younger years, Tillie was very active in church activities such as the friendship club, ladies aide, and was also a member of the choir. She loved to bowl and golf with Ed, and on weekends they would spend time at Elkwater Lake in their trailer with their many friends, go for the occasional stroll, and enjoying their boat on the lake. Her family was extremely important to her, there is no love greater than she had for her family. She will be dearly missed.
