Obituary for Joseph "Joe" Deck

Joseph "Joe" Deck, beloved husband of Veronica Deck of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his four children, Geraldine Holmes of Eston, Saskatchewan, Charlotte (Stanley) Eresman of Fox Valley, Saskatchewan, Clarence Deck (Mary Haberlack) of Dunmore and Joanne (Larry) Schneider of Fox Valley; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Luke (Maxine) Deck and Ken (Carol) Deck; two sisters, Marion Parachuk and Caroline Urban; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucas and Frances Deck; one son, Peter Deck, in infancy; one daughter, Mary Deck, in infancy; three brothers, Leo Deck, Frank Deck, in infancy and Pius (Marlene) Deck; one sister, Rosemary (John) Stephenson; one brother-in-law, Steve Parachuk; and one sister-in-law, Betty Deck. Joe was born on January 14th, 1930 in Empress, Alberta. He married Veronica Meier on July 30th, 1951. Joe loved playing ball, building puzzles and word searches. Farming was Joe's life and passion. He will be missed by his family and friends.
