Obituary for Margaret Scheuerman (Lepp)

Margaret Scheuerman (Lepp)
We are saddened by the loss of our extraordinary Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and dear friend, Margaret Scheuerman. Born in Langham, Saskatchewan she was one of nine children of Henry and Marie Lepp. Margaret married Wilfred on March 20, 1950 and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Throughout childhood, she lived in numerous places in Saskatchewan and Alberta. After marrying, Wilf and Margaret started their life together in Duchess and then settled in Medicine Hat. Margaret was a loving, proud and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her large family and will be sadly missed by husband, Wilf; her seven children; Tyrril (Don) Tonks of Salmon Arm, Peggy (Dale) Reimer of Calgary, Jan (Terry) Seitz, Mark (Jenine), Pam (Dale) Fandrick, Stewart (Jasmina) all of Medicine Hat, and Kurt (Tannis) of Calgary; fifteen grandchildren, Dillon (Renee) Tonks, Erin (Jeff) Wiseman, Brianne (Scott) Hamilton, Whitney Reimer (Doug), Jonathan Seitz (Kathleen), Sean (Angela) Seitz, Cole (Michelle), Scott (Jenny), Keri (Chad) Schiebelbein, Tyson Fandrick (Jillian), Clay Fandrick (Natalea), Mitchell (Jessica), Savannah (Kyle), Lucas and Niklas; eight great grandchildren: Avery, Dane, Samuel, Jack, Shannon, Julian, Harper and Colton. She is also survived by brothers, Alvin (Helen), Bill, and George (Jacquie); sister, Helen Sather; brother-in-law, Les Penner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret created a wonderful home for the family, and treasured every moment with her family. She was filled with compassion and interest in all they did. Margaret stayed in touch with grandchildren local and as far away as Melbourne, Australia, and Singapore. Family was the focus of her life. Margaret valued her faith; she was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church for many years, participating in Bible Study and the choir. Margaret and Wilf loved music and it reflected in their children. They were also fortunate to be able to travel together extensively, visiting such places as Europe, Japan, South Korea and Hawaii. Margaret especially enjoyed time spent with her close friends, Ella McFarlane (deceased) and Elinore Bader. She always entertained with her sense of humor and quick wit. Margaret was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Mary Bradford (Harold), Alma Lepp; and brothers, Henry and Peter Lepp; sister-in-law, Lillian Lepp; mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Edward; Wilf’s brothers, Clem and Bernie and spouses, and sister, Edna. Margaret passed away after a brief stay at the Medicine Hat General Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. She will be dearly missed, but we are comforted to know that Mom is reunited with her mother, father and other family members in heaven. Our memories of her will live on in all of our hearts. May she find peace in her eternal life.
