Obituary for Mary Vera Adie (Birtwistle)
Mary "Vera" Adie of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Dr. Peter Adie, passed away on Sunday, April 12th, 2015 at the age of 92 years. Vera was born on June 11th, 1922 in Accrington, England. After marrying Peter, they moved to Canada at the end of the war and took up residence in Ralston. They moved to the farm outside of Redcliff in 1969 and stayed there until the early 2000's. Vera spent the latter part of her life at Chinook retirement home. She leaves behind a son, Christopher (Beverly) Adie; daughter, Candace (Ken) Belliveau; as well as three granddaughters, Jessica (Paul) Glombick, Lauren (George) Giffen and Heather Adie; and one grandson, Patrick (Erin) Belliveau. A private interment will be held with the family at a future date.
