1920 ~Helen Ebelher ~ 2018

Helen Ebelher of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at the age of 98 years. Helen was born, raised, and educated in Liebenthal, SK. In 1941 she met and married her sweetheart, Jack Ebelher. Together they worked on the farm and raised their family. In her later years, Helen retired in Medicine Hat where she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, golfing and playing cards. She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Don (Rose) Ebelher of Saskatoon, SK, and Jim Ebelher of Redcliff; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and sister in-law, Jean Wingenbach. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack; her son, Anton and daughter, Gladys; parent's, Dennis and Amaila; daughter in-law, Joan Ebelher, and her brothers and sisters. Helen delighted in the company of family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, October 18th, 2018 from 6:00 until 6:55 p.m and at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB, on Friday, October 19th, 2018 from 9:30 until 10:25 am. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday, October 18th, 2018, at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH on Friday, October 19th, 2018, 10:30 am with Father Vijaya Bathineni, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
