My grandma Emily

My grandma Emily was one of a kind. She was always full of sarcastic and hilarious comments. She was out spoken, which in her case is not always a bad thing. She had a strong willed mind set and was a killer cook with amazing dumpling recipes as well as our family favourite bow ties. Every visit we had together always had at least one feast of bowties and corn syrup. She hated garlic. I LOVE it. Needless to say i always forgot to skip the garlic when i had her for dinners. I was adopted by her son Dave. She never once treated me as anyone diffrent then her own blood. She had lots of advice and opinions on the way i chose to live my life in my teenage years. Alot of her advice sticks today. Especially the advice of keeping my family close. She always told me how i should love my parents whole heartedly. I soon learned the meaning of her advice and surprisingly, i listened. She is gone but will not be forgotten. We loved her more then she knew and personally i am glad she will no longer be suffering any longer. She is with her god and he will take the best care of her. She was a giver and never a taker. God knows this! Your in Good hands Grandma! Xoxoxox Love always, Katy
