Yvonne Copeman of Medicine Hat passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at the age of 85 years. Yvonne leaves to cherish in her memory her children, Al (Chris) Beck, Michel Beck, Monique (Louis) Frankow, Antonio Beck, Pierre Beck, Helene (Chris) Nicholson, Gerald Beck (Deidre); 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; as well as four stepchildren and their families; siblings, Alberic (Jacqueline) Lemoine, Richard (Louise) Lemoine, Agnes Johnstone, Juliet (Henri) Desautels; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, George Copeman; parents, Antonio and Stella Lemoine; two of her grandchildren; three of her brothers; and two of her sisters. Yvonne was a proud volunteer; volunteering at both the Moose and the Royal Canadian Legion for a combined 25 years. She was president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Legion four times. Yvonne was an avid lover of Yahtzee, a pool shark, and loved to play bingo. She enjoyed watching curling, the Medicine Hat Tigers, the Toronto Blue Jays, and soap operas. On family member’s birthdays, Yvonne would call and play Happy Birthday on her harmonica. She was very proud of her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Yvonne’s family would like to thank her doctor, Dr. Monty, as well as the staff at AgeCare Riverview Long-Term Care Home, for the care they provided to Yvonne. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on October 24th ,2022 at 7:00 pm with Fr. Roque Periera, Celebrant. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022, at 1:00 pm with Deacon Terry Olson officiating. Interment will follow in the Veteran’s Section at HILLSIDE CEMETERY.
