1925 ~ William “Bill’ Schmidt ~ 2019
William “Bill” Schmidt, beloved husband of Bertha (nee Hartman), passed away on July 16th, 2019. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Ron (June) Schmidt, Marlene (Wayne) Bodin, Randy (Cherie) Schmidt, and Rodney Schmidt; eight grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maria Schreiber and Frieda (Mike) Eckes; and numerous nieces and nephews. William was born in Austria in 1925. He moved to Canada and lived in the Manyberries/Orion area until he moved to Suffield. Later he moved to the Seven Persons area where he farmed until his retirement. William delighted in playing music at various venues during this time. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 758 8 St SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1M5 on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:25 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with pastor Shane Hein officiating.
