Wendy Jane Fieldberg was born December 2nd, 1956 in Empress Alberta. She passed away February 10, 2020, in Clearwater, Florida, USA. Wendy leaves to cherish her memories her son, Quinlan Love; parents, Tish and Harold; brothers, Danny (Tania) and Owen (Bonnie); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many friends, acquaintances and their families. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Bob Love, on 2002. Her primary education was in Bindloss, graduated high school in Medicine Hat, and studied horse husbandry, agriculture and artificial insemination in Olds College. Wendy and Bob studied theology and were both bishops in an ancient order of the Catholic Church where they did a lot of missionary work in USA and Mexico working primarily with young people. They founded and operated several small orphanages and group homes and worked with many like-minded charity organizations. Wendy loved animals and was an avid horseperson. She loved nature and doing things the natural way. She was an independent thinker and surrounded herself with many likeminded friends of whom she had hundreds in many countries. She was a devoted mother and friend and loved to travel. As a young person she and a group of childhood friends travelled for two years in Australia, Asia and Europe where she worked to pay her way. She worked on farms and ranches, scrapped and painted crab boats, picked pineapple, exercised race horses, served tables, gathered sea shells, hiked the Himalayas, drank tea in India, lost her passport in Russia and happily came home with ten cents in her pocket. Wendy loved natural health and devoted much of her time helping people with their health problems. Wendy spent several years at Vernon BC where she lived with Glen Christman making saddle trees and in the forestry sorting and planting trees. They took two trips to Germany and sold quarter horses there and trained the buyers. Wendy and Bob were married at Princes Springs near Bindloss in 1996 and moved to Buffalo where Quin was born. Then they moved to the farm at Bindloss where they operated a health consulting business and Wendy worked at the school and drove a school bus. After Bob’s passing, in October 2002, Wendy established her cattle and sheep operation on the family farm which she operated with her son Quin until the farm was sold in 2016. They moved their operation to Empress where they stayed until August of 2019 when they moved their cattle and sheep to Medicine Hat. She loved to visit with her friends and between them they solved the problems of the world. Wendy loved gymnastics and community involvement and she helped start and run the gymnastics club there for many years. They were both involved in gymnastics and attended many functions until her passing. Wendy will be remembered as a loving mother, friend and a hard-working person who was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer some advice. A memorial service will be held at the Buffalo Community Hall, Buffalo, AB on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shane Andrus officiating.
