Obituary for Sam Resch
Sebastion (Sam) Resch passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21st, 2021 at the age of 82 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Marion (nee Speir) and his sons, Wayne (Laurinda) of Medicine Hat and David (Lorain) of Grande Prairie. He also leaves to cherish his memory five grandchildren, Ryan (Mellissa), Kirsten (David), Courtney (Jared), Jaydean, and Alex; as well as six great-grandchildren.
Sam grew up on the family farm near Lancer, SK. After marrying Mom, they moved to the Swift Current area and then Medicine Hat, eventually farming west of Hilda for many years. After retiring, they moved many places and found odd jobs to occupy their time but came back to Medicine Hat in their later years to be near family. Sam was a kind quiet man who loved his family and enjoyed teasing the little ones. He will be missed….good-bye Grandpa Sam.
There will be a private family graveside service by invitation...keeping it simple like Dad wanted.
