Parn Khat passed away suddenly at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on November 12, 2021 at the age of 65 years. Survived by her soulmate husband of 48 years Veng Phann. Lovingly remembered by her children, Vy (James) Cresswell, Voeun (Phy Svay), Vuth, Thorn (Kelly) Kirkpatrick, Samnang (Jonas Lau), Sopaul (Tiffany Anhorn); grandchildren, Julia, Nova, Vanessa, Paige, Summer, Kai, and Jaron; as well as all her family in Cambodia, including her six siblings. Parn and Veng brought their family of six to Canada in 1986 and had two more children. Parn was a beautiful bright ray of light. She loved and welcomed everyone that was lucky to have met her, which most would call her their ma! She had the biggest heart, made each and everyone of us feel so special and was so very proud of us. Cooking and being with her children and grandchildren gave her so much joy and brought her so much happiness. Mom had many passions, which included gardening, but her favorite was singing karaoke while dad played the keyboard. They would jam a couple of nights a week in their living room having the time of their lives with just the two of them. She left a big hole in our hearts but knowing that she is no longer in pain gives us some comfort. She will be sorely missed. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Friday, November 19th, 2021 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will take place at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Saturday, November 20th, 2021. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, attendance is by invitation.
