Oster Anhorn of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, December 9th, 2022 at the age of 98 years. Oster leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Alice Stickle and Frieda Gehring. Sadly, Frieda also passed away just six days after Oster. Also left to cherish Oster’s memory are numerous nieces, nephews and his Masterpiece family. Oster was predeceased by his parents, Emanuel and Katharina Anhorn; and six brothers. Oster was always happy and smiling, he loved to chat, visit, sing and listen to music. He participated as much as possible in many activities, right up to the age of 98. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many camping trips with the family. Oster’s happiest times were spending time going to celebrations and parties with family and friends. Oster was loved and looked after by the entire family. The family would like to give thanks from the bottom of our hearts for all the care and love that Uncle Oster received at Masterpiece. We know you will miss him as well. A Celebration of Life for both Oster and his sister, Frieda Gehring, will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jamie McDonald officiating. A Private Interment for immediate and extended family will take place prior to the Celebration of Life at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY, 5160 Gershaw Dr SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 3N2 at 12:30 pm. For those wishing to attend, please arrive at the cemetery at 12:20 pm. If unable to attend, family and friends are welcome to participate via livestream by logging on to www.saamis.com and joining the live webcast on Oster’s memorial page at the above date and time.
