Obituary for Nancy Gaye Slaughter (Atkinson)

Nancy Gaye Slaughter of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late John “Tex” Slaughter, passed away on Monday, January 20th, 2020 at the age of 73 years. Nancy leaves to cherish her memory three children, Barb (Keith) Hoffart, Curtis (Allyson) Doell and Alison (Jeremy) Akins, and their special big brother, Darren Cliffe; nine grandchildren, Jessie, Jenna, Keeley, Grayce, Seth, Hailey, Brooks, Sloan and Asher; two sisters, Leslye and Belinda; brother-in-law, Phillip; and three sisters-in-law, Maggie, Dawn and Ruth. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Wallace and Lillian Atkinson. Honouring Nancy’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Memorial gifts in Nancy’s memory may be made to The Lung Association Alberta/NWT Division, P.O. Box 4700 Station South, Edmonton, Alberta, T6E 9Z9. Condolences may be sent through www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Nancy Slaughter.
