Obituary for Michael Gage Hawn

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Gage Hawn, beloved son of Jason Hawn and Alyssia Hawn, on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023 at the age of 4 years. Michael also leaves to honour and cherish his memory his brother, Grayson Hawn; his sister, Kiara Hawn; his grandma Barb Wells, his grandparents, Charlotte and Phil Regnier; his great-grandparents, Norman and Brenda Duchscherer: great-great grandma Irene Neitz; his uncles, Ryan (Emily) Regnier and Brett (Jenny) Regnier; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his brother, Gage Hawn; grandfather, Bill Wells; great-grandparents, Gordon and Shirley Hawn; great-great grandpa, Ernie Neitz; and great-great grandparents, Theresa and Melvin Regnier. Michael entered the world on May 29, 2018 to the tremendous delight of our family. He was the essence of joy and life. He enjoyed music and singing, cuddling with soft toys, and being held close and snuggled by his parents and grandparents. His infectious giggles could light up any room especially when he was surrounded by his favourite people and his favourite pets; cats, Guiness and Oscar; and dogs, Koda, Ace, Brandy and Lexi. Michael enjoyed playing video games and on his I-pad. He loved to play outdoors and to be wherever his big brother was. He will always be loved and remembered as the happy, loving, kind, gentle, funny, child that he was. He provided us with a lifetime of love during his too short time here on earth. A private family memorial service paying tribute to Michael’s life and spirit will take place at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL with Life Celebrant Lynett Getz officiating. Memorial gifts in Michael’s memory may be made to Alberta Pound and Rescue Centre (APARC), 1002 South Railway Street SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 2W2. Condolences may be sent through www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Michael Hawn.
