Obituary for Marion "Lynn" Hardman

This is the story of Marion Evelynne (Lynn) Hardman.
Lynn was a wonderful, caring woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. She was born June 21, 1937 in Owen Sound, Ontario, second daughter to Burton and Vera Holmes, sister of Anne Louise. She is survived by three loving children, Sheri (Dave) Whatley. Heather (Mike) Street, Brian (Nadene) Wood, and stepdaughter, Sheila, grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Lindsay, Mikayla, Lorraine, and Ashtyn, great grandson, Jay, also survived by her special friend, Richard (Rocket) Simons and her beloved dog, Danny Boy. Predeceased by husbands, Robert George Wood and William (Bill) Hardman. On September 6, 1960, Lynn graduated from the Metropolitan General Hospital School of Nursing in Windsor, Ontario. She became the head pediatric nurse and later changed her career to a Social/Youth worker where she was recognized for her work by the Alberta Federation Council for Exceptional Children. Lynn was a talented artist who spent years practicing and sharing her unique gift. Gardening was a hobby she loved and could spend hours enjoying the beauty she created. Traveling took her to exciting places such as Spain, Portugal, and France. She also cherished her many trips to Ontario where she would visit family and friends, spending time at the family cottage in Sauble Beach. Camping was a special activity that took her to several parts of Canada and the U.S. Many weekends were spent in the ballpark cheering on her favorite baseball team. As a 60 year member of Beta Sigma Phi, Lynn made numerous close friends. To know her was to love her and to be loved by her was a blessing. She always saw the best in people and lived life with great passion. Her kind heart and her beautiful soul will live on in those who were touched by this remarkable, gentle woman.
