Obituary for Lauree Sauter

Lauree Pearl Sauter (Ree) aged 79 passed away peacefully on Monday May 17, 2021 at the Medicine Hat Hospital. Lauree is survived by Bruce Johnson the father to her children; son, Bruce Johnson Jr.; daughters, Tammy Johnson, Rosetta (Kevin) Sanders, Lana Johnson; grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff), Corrinn, Matthew (Yessica), Robert, Keith (Laura), Bailey, Jeffrey (Krista), Hjelmar (Wendy), Ryan; great-grandchildren, Danya, Katie, Abella, Kylee, Kyra, Alice, Cody, Hugh, Lydia; brother, Gerry (Lorraine) Johnson; sister, Mary-Ann Hamel; sister-in-law, Carol Johnson; step-children, Vicki Kochanski, Sherri Cook, Rick (Tilly) Sauter, Cathy Kletic; step-grandchildren, Karry, Jessie, Katherine, Christopher, Kevin, Amanda, Devon, Rebecca, Andrew; step-great-grandchildren, Jayda, Ashton, Dannika, Tyson, Ava-Rae, Kahleigh, Brock, Adam and Rachael; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lauree was predeceased by her parents, Nathan and Pearl Johnson; husband, Hugh Sauter; son, Keith Johnson; brother, Nels Johnson; sister, Linda Barth, Georgina Bendall; daughter-in-law, Debbie, and step-daughter, Glenna. Lauree was born September 5, 1941 in Lethbridge, Alberta. She and her siblings were mostly raised in Raymond, Alberta, a small rural town where they built strong community bonds. Lauree lived a life full of love, children, family, and adventure. Some of her many hobbies included genealogy, crafting, and online gaming. When faced with adversity, she made the best of what she had. This spirit and cheeky personality made her memorable to all that met her. Lauree made many friends in her travels and took pride in maintaining those friendships. She was the most content surrounded by family and most importantly the children. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, even the neighbors’ children. She loved them all. Lauree was immersed in the LDS community and can tribute many of her family values to her ties to the church. Her faith provided her hope and strength.
