Jean was predeceased by her husband, Theodore and parents, Emil Olsen and Helen Aasen. Jean was born on December 20th, 1939 in Edmonton, Alberta. She graduated from the nursing program at the University of British Columbia as a registered nurse with a BSN Degree. Following her graduation she accepted a post near Prince George, BC. This covered a large area which included logging camps. It was here that she met the man who would be the true love of her life, Theodore Olson. They were married on November 20th, 1964 and the rest is history as they would say! Jean was an avid reader and she loved learning and expanding her knowledge of all things. She often used big words that no one knew! She held many certifications beyond her nursing degree, including real estate agent, licensed financial advisor, and a Vancouver General Hospital Alumnae, just to name a few. Jean loved farm and ranch life and was fond of all animals but she especially loved horses. Family was first and foremost in her life. She relished taking road trips and would often take long detours, much to everyone’s delight. Jean was an amazing listener, confidante, counsellor and best friend to all. She was the first call for guidance, medical advice, or any advice in general. She was an awesome Mom to everyone she met and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
