Obituary for Janice Yvette Muhlbeier (Lane)

Janice Yvette Muhlbeier of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of Leslie “Les” Muhlbeier, passed away on Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 at the age of 65 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Les; her children, Lisa (Mark) Simmons, Kevin Leismeister, Brett (Terri-Lynne) Leismeister; step-children, Corey Muhlbeier, Leslie (Catherine) Muhlbeier, Dalton (Amanda) Muhlbeier, and Shawna-Lyn Woodgate; grandchildren, Bailey, Kassidy, Zach, Bence, Nathan, Taylor, Bella, Brady, Payton, Adyson, Knox, Dru Charlene, and Wilde; mother, Daisy Lane; and brother, Doug (Peggy) Lane. She was predeceased by her father, John Lane. Janice worked for Power Serv for over 30 years before she retired in June of 2019. She was an active member of AA and helped many people while making many amazing friends throughout the years. She was an enthusiastic Medicine Hat Tiger’s fan and enjoyed attending their games whenever she could. Janice continued to be very active after her retirement and enjoyed going for walks and many mornings swimming at Crestwood pool. She was proud of her family and she loved spending time with all of her children and grandchildren. She was especially fond of watching all the activities and sports that her grandchildren were involved in. She had a great sense of humour and an infectious laugh that could always brighten up your day. Janice will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Monday, June 15th, 2020 from 6:00 to 6:55 pm. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, on Monday June 15th, 2020 at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020, at 1:00 pm with Father Iqbal Khurshid, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions – all services are limited to no more than 100 attendees including family and funeral home staff.
