Obituary for Heather Brigham

1960 ~ Heather Brigham ~ 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heather Jean Brigham (nee Campbell) on January 3, 2024 at the age of 63. She is survived by her loving husband, Dale of 43 years; and is also lovingly remembered by her children, Ryan Brigham (Naomi), Stephanie McNabb (Brent) and Trista Yaremchuk (Andrew); grandchildren, Makenzie, Ryden, Emersyn, Dallin, Heath and Caleb; sister, Val Wiebe, and brother, Kevin Campbell (Lee); her life-long best friend, Cheri Gerbrandt (Harold); along with many nieces and nephews and others who loved her. She was predeceased by her mother, Maude Campbell; father, William Campbell; sister, Joyce Schumaker, and brother, James Campbell. Heather was born on March 4, 1960 in Vanguard, Saskatchewan to William and Maude Campbell. Shortly after high school, Heather met the love of her life, Dale Brigham, and the two built a life together in Medicine Hat. Their 43 years of marriage were filled with love and dedication and their commitment to each other was unwavering and inspiring to all who knew them. Her career at Sears spanned 18 years, during which she made lasting friendships and positively impacted the lives of those around her. Heather embraced the joy of becoming a grandmother at the young age of 46 and proudly chose to be called Nana by her grandchildren, Makenzie and Ryden, who brought immense happiness to her life. Before the birth of her four other grandchildren, Heather had already been diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's. Despite this, there is no doubt that she would have cherished them just as dearly as she did with her other grandchildren. An avid walker, Heather found joy in the simple pleasures of life and continued to find solace in her walks until she was no longer able to. In honor of her, a memorial bench will be placed along a path in Crescent Heights, a place she frequented on her walks, serving as a lasting tribute to her strength and the love she shared with those around her. There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Heather Brigham.
