Frieda Jeske of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Howard Jeske, passed away peacefully, with her daughters by her side, on Friday, August 12th, 2022 at the age of 89 years. Frieda leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Lenora (Ken) Duchscherer, Sheryl Robertson, Sandra (Howard) Painter, and Janice (Harvey) Hoffner; grandchildren, Jason (Dana) Duchscherer, Jennifer (Chris) Grad, Shawn (Alisha) Dennison, David (Kari) Painter, Mark Painter, Becky (Brad) McKelvey Christy (Matt) Pinnell, Kimberly (Trevor) Neigum, Joelle (James) Opp; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Herb Klaudt; and sister, Lorraine Rathwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frieda was predeceased by her husband, Howard Jeske; her parents, Emanual and Hulda Klaudt; son-in-law, Don Robertson; great-grandchildren, Mya and Maddison Neigum; brothers, Edwin, Leonard, and Richard Klaudt; and sisters, Emma Tschritter and Evelyn Spiry. Frieda was a kind and compassionate woman who loved to help people. She regularly volunteered at the library, store, and Friday Coffee at Chinook Centre, where she lived for 15 years. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends. Frieda resided at the Wellington for the last four years and could often be found doing crafts, reading, and word search, which she loved dearly. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, T1A 1Z5 on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 before the Funeral Service, at 10:00 am until 10:50 am. The Funeral Service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 at 11:00 am with Reverend David Pollard officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
