It is with heavy hearts that the family of Frank Hans Jürgen Weidel announces his passing on Sunday, September 29th, 2019 at Good Samaritans, surrounded by family. Frank leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Barbara; his niece, Catrin and her two sons and families; and his nephew, Christoph (Leah). Frank was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1958. He worked in the mining industry and found later his passion in the porcelain industry in Medicine Hat. His company was known as the only manufacturer for electrical porcelain in Canada. Frank was a handy man and loved to travel to many places in the world. He was a member of different clubs, Rotary Club, the Royal Canadian Legion and others. He loved music and was a great supporter of the Calgary Opera. Frank was a very dedicated and generous man, who will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Time of Remembrance with family and friends will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
