Florence “Joan” Goldie of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Hugh Goldie, passed away on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Gini (Darrell) Greene of Medicine Hat; her son, David “Jamie” Goldie (Karen) of Burnaby, BC; six grandchildren, Kathy Goldie (Jay), Jeff Goldie (Christine), Stephanie Greene (Michael), Carly Greene (Jeff), Evan MacDonald and Jacob MacDonald; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Billie Brier of Medicine Hat; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Goldie; two sons, Johnny Goldie and Greg Goldie; her father, Raymond Passmore; her mother, Dorothy Van Wert; and one sister, Lois Black. Joan will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, love of people, and her incredible sense of humour. The family would like to thank the Teeoda Lodge and AgeCare Valleyview for their excellent care of Joan. A Private Family Time of Remembrance will take place in the Spring of 2020.
