It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie Patterson on February 27, 2024, at the age of 70 years. He fought a brave battle against cancer. Ernie loved travelling and had a passion for sports, hockey, baseball, football, basketball and especially Chuckwagon racing which he loved to be involved with. Once you met Ernie, you never forgot him, he was larger than life, he always lit up the room and was a very generous and kind person, he was a great dad, husband, friend, teacher and a mentor to many, he’s leaving many loved ones behind, his wife, Claudia; daughter, Teresa (Shawn); sons, Keith (Sandra), Kevin and Cedric; grandkids, Brandon, Christian, Brittany, Ryan, Katie, Sarah, Joey, Aiden, Melodie and Raine; great grandkids, William, Ariel, Allister and Sawyer; a sister, Donna (Wallace); nephews, Jessie, Michael and Brett; nieces, Deanna and Alexandra. He was predeceased by his father, William Kenneth; mother, Laura; his sister, Barbara; and his son, Jason. A Celebration of Life will take place in Grande Prairie in the spring. Donations to the Alberta Cancer Foundation would greatly be appreciated.
