Ernest Emanuel Murschel of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Doris Murschel (Rieger), passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on January 17th, 2023 at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Emanuel and Paulina (Rieger) Murschel; sisters, Florence Kalischuk and Elsie Pregoda; brothers-in-law, John Pregoda and Ed Huber; grandson, Devon Salmond; and great grandson, Eric Sears. He is survived by sister, Eleanora Huber; sisters-in-law, Vivan Schwab; Marjorie (Dave) Loranger, and Marion Sailer, and ; and brothers-in-law, George Kalischuk, Mel Sailer, and Eugene Sailer; stepchildren, Wayne (Susan) Sears, Cathy McArther, and Donna (Tim) Welsh; grandchildren, Chris, Justin (Pauline), Janelle, Alyssa, Kyle (Kathleen), and Lindsay; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; nieces and nephews, Janice, Marilyn, Lorna, Greg, Sharon, and Allison.
