Emanuel Roth of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Margaret Roth, passed away on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 at the age of 96 years. Emanuel leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Chris (Loretta) Roth, sisters, Kay (Henry) Kundert and Irma Bowe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Emanuel was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; parents, Wilhelm and Christina Roth; brother, Gottlieb Roth; sisters, Anne Roth (in infancy), Martha Bechtold, and Louise Haag; and brother-in-law, Bill Bowe. Emanuel was born February 14th, 1927 in Johannesdal, Odessa. He came to Canada with his family in 1928 and settled on a farm near Burstall, SK. After spending eight years there, the family moved to Richmound, SK where Emanuel remained for the next 32 years. On March 26, 1960, he married Margaret Beirbach and they lived on the farm in Richmound. Later on they moved to Medicine Hat. Emanuel worked for Wittke Iron Works for 15 years before his retirement. Emanuel enjoyed being outdoors and liked to go fishing and playing baseball. He loved his home in Medicine Hat and kept a large, beautiful yard and garden.
