Edward Fred Straub of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021 at the age of 72 years. Edward leaves to cherish his memory his children, Wayne, Terra and Ryan; grandchildren, Mitchell, Faith, Kieryn, Kamryn and James; great grandchildren, Denver and Daxx; brothers, Gordon and Stanley; and sister, Sylvia. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Lilian Straub; and son, Robert. Ed started his life with his family as a sheet metal journeyman then later in life transitioned to construction work. Working many years along side his son Wayne at Gyp-Tec drywall. Along the way meeting many dear friends at the Royal Hotel for a cold beer and game of shuffleboard. Once retired, you could find him puttering in his yard and garden or tinkering in his shop. He will truly be missed by all. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at his home, 640 Pottery Street, Medicine Hat, AB on August 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
