Obituary for Edith Darlene Braniff

Edith Darlene Braniff of Maple Creek, beloved wife of the late Charles Braniff, passed away on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 at the age of 89 years. Edith leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Linda Baynton; grandson, Lee (Cathy), great grandchildren, Emilie and Cecil; sisters, Von (Wilf) Mann and Florence Sansau. Edith was predeceased by her husband, Charles; parents, Earl and Ida Chadwick; three brothers and one half brother. Edith was born, raised and attended school in the Kealey Springs area. She married Charles Braniff on February 12, 1952 in Maple Creek. They farmed and ranched south of Piapot for many years, in 2014 she wintered in Maple Creek and went back to the farm in the summers. Edith worked at the credit union and then for the RM of Piapot. Edith enjoyed quilting, curling and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion in Piapot. A private family funeral service will take place at Maple Creek United Church, 301 Maple Street, MAPLE CREEK, SK S0N 1N0, on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 with Pastor Michele Rowe officiating.
