Dorothy Julia Taylor (nee Chudleigh) passed away quietly at the age of 91. She was born in Empress, Alberta on March 20th, 1930 and spent her early childhood in Bindloss, Alberta. She was predeceased by her parents, George, and Dorothy Chudleigh; her brother, George Starks Chudleigh; her sister-in-law, Margaret Chudleigh; and nephew, Warren Chudleigh. Julia went to high school and business college in Medicine Hat. She moved to Calgary in 1950 where she worked in the oil industry. She spent time in England where she met her former husband, Clarence Taylor. They later returned to Calgary where Julia worked for the federal government in various positions. Julia moved back to Medicine Hat in 1999. Julia enjoyed sports and was an ardent competitive swimmer. She loved to travel and enjoyed the arts and music. Hiking in the mountains was one of her favourite pastimes. She loved animals and especially her cat. Julia enjoyed many social occasions including Birthdays, Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving with her brother, Starks and his wife, Margaret as well as nephews and nieces. Julia is survived by her nephews, Kent Chudleigh (Kathy), Cliff Chudleigh (Nancy); Gail Chudleigh, and nieces, Vicki Hall, Wendy Wynder (Terry); as well as numerous great nephews and nieces.
