The sudden passing of Doris Engel deeply saddens family and friends. Doris passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday October 30, 2021. Doris is survived by her two sons, Jason and Morgan; as well as her two grandsons, Austin and Jaxson; sister, Patricia; sister-in-law, Erna; and niece and nephew, Susan and Quinton. Doris was pre deceased by her parents, Emmanuel and Esther; her brother, Eddy; and her loving husband, Delbert. Doris born on February 19, 1944 and grew up on a farm just North of Irvine Alberta. Doris excelled in school and persued a career in nursing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital . Doris loved being a nurse and she would talk often about her time being the head nurse on 5th North. She eventually left nursing in 1974 just before giving birth to her first child Jason. She continued to be a stay at home mother until her youngest child (Morgan) entered into grade 1. At that time she joined her husband (Delbert) and they grew their business, Dell Rossi Mens Wear, where she worked right up until her passing. Some of Doris’s things that she truly enjoyed were family time, cooking/baking, fishing, reading, and puzzles….oh did she love challenging puzzles (her sons took great pride in getting her some of the most challenging ones as annual gifts). Doris was a generous person who did whatever she could to help those around her and she will be forever missed. Cremation has already taken place and a celebration of life will be held for family and close friends later in the month of November.
