Dear Winona and family. Such sad news.
We were neighbours on the South East hill from 1988-96. Darrell (and you) were such a happy, welcoming couple. Dennis enjoyed many street conversations with Darrel and his infectious laugh. He will be truly missed.
Our sincere condolences.

Darrel touched so many lives in a special way with his talents and giving personality. He was quick to smile and lend a helping hand if needed. I knew Darrel from being a teacher at Ross Glen and from subbing after I retired. He will be missed and remembered by all who were privileged to know him. Patricia McDowell

To Winona and family,
Darrel was such a wonderful person and such a gifted musician - especially at the organ! It was so inspiring to watch him look for the next stop he was going to pull and then to build and build the piece to something spectacular! All of us will miss him dearly and we trust that you will find strength and comfort in wonderful memories. Keith Fisher

My heartfelt sympathy to all the family at this most difficult time of sorrow. I grew up with Darrel as a classmate at Schuler School as well as being involved in the Church of God. He was such a talented, gentle and humble man with a gift of music that was to be admired. He will be remembered as having a heart of gold and making the rafters rise when he played. He's now sharing his gift in his new home. May you all be comforted with His loving arms and faith that will sustain you at this time. Our prayers and blessings to you all.

Love Cindy (Roth) Straub
