Darlene had various jobs throughout her life to support and provide for her family. Later in life she worked part time as a greeter at Walmart that she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved seeing old friends from Saskatchewan & often recognized previous coworkers and friends of her children that was like a game of clue to determine who it was that she had recognized. In 2018, Darlene decided to leave Medicine Hat and moved to Blairmore where she resided at York Creek Lodge. During her time there, she developed several great friendships, participated in recreational activities and bus outings. Darlene enjoyed Tuesday’s Lions TV bingo, polish hall bingo & the many seasonal celebrations hosted by York Creek Lodge with her family and friends. Darlene made a lasting impression with staff and residents during her time in Blairmore, who always continued to ask about her wellbeing. In 2020, Darlene decided to return to Medicine Hat, which she always considered home and resided at St.Joseph’s home until her passing.
The family of Darlene would like to extend a thank you to Ryan & staff at St. Joseph’s for the care you provided for Mom until her passing. Private service to be held at a later date.
