Obituary for Darcey Allen Job

Darcey Allen Job passed away on May 9th, 2021 at Carmel Hospice at St. Joseph’s Home in Medicine Hat, AB after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Medicine Hat, AB, on May 4th ,1977, son of Allen and Eileen (Lane) Job. Darcey grew up and attended school at Burstall, SK. Darcey spent those years working on the family farm, participating in school sports and the Burstall youth group, and enjoying family camping trips and visiting with family. The art of welding came into Darcey’s life. Darcey worked at Fort Mac, where he met the love of his life, Amanda. Darcey and Amanda (Wetthuhn) married in July 2011 in Killiam, AB. He acquired his journeyman's certificate through Vermillion College. It was a career he enjoyed and he welded on oilfield equipment in Sedgewick, construction site in Edmonton and for the preparation of the pipeline in Kitimat, BC. He also did a lot of welding on the family farm. During his farming years, Darcey enjoyed volunteering with the Burstall Fire Dept., and sitting as councillor for the town of Burstall. Darcey was predeceased by his mother Eileen (Lane) Job; mother-in-law, Shaunet Wetthuhn; grandparents, William and Gusta Lane; and grandparents, Jack Job and Colleen Frisch. Darcey will be dearly missed by his wife, Amanda (Wetthuhn); Job; daughters, Kacey and Jessie Job; father, Allen Job and step-mother, Pat; brother, Gerald Job and his daughter, Abbey; sister, Charlotte (Randy) Gill and their children Cheyenne and Liam; step-daughter, Cherise Burnett and her daughter, Rhian; step-grandmother, Betty Job; father-in-law, Ben Wetthuhn; brothers-in-law, Bret (Chanel) and their children Hanah and Kori; Ryan (Carlene) and their children, Luke and Cale; as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins that loved and cared about him.
