Obituary for Colleen Louise Green (Fowler)
1973 ~ Colleen Green ~ 2022
Colleen Louise Green (nee Fowler), beloved wife of Trent Green; and daughter to Frank and Merrilyn Fowler passed away at home July 30th, 2022. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis William Fowler on February 23, 2022. Trent and Colleen, the ideal couple, were married for almost 21 years. Colleen was born in Kamloops, BC and lived in Ontario and Manitoba as a child before moving to Medicine Hat. After graduation, she continued her studies to become a reiki master, a reflexologist, a sign language teacher, teacher's aide at Cape School, and a day care worker. Her travels took to her to England, Scotland, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, across Canada, to at least half of US states, and to Mexico. Colleen and Trent loved to visit his family in Swift Current, SK during holiday seasons. Colleen's life changed when she was hit hard by Covid-19 and other viruses. She spent a long time in and out of the hospital with Trent visiting daily to help her. We would like to thank all the nurses, doctors, Good Sam's Day Program, and her Redi Workers for their special care. During this time Colleen lost most of her sight and was helped by the workers from CNIB who taught her to walk with her cane and other skills. Since Colleen was a avid reader the Daisy Reading Program gave her the ability to once again listen to her favourite mystery and classic novels. Colleen Louise will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was our SUNSHINE! The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 1Z5, on Monday, August 8th, 2022 at 1:30 pm. If unable to attend, family and friends are welcome to participate via livestream by logging on to www.saamis.com and joining the live webcast on Colleen’s memorial page five minutes prior to the above date and time.
