Obituary for Clara Thompson (Stock)

Clara Thompson of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at the age of 86 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Larry (Debbie) Darr, Wayne (Denice) Darr, Bev Mair, Cindy (Art) Martin and their father, Harvey Darr; son, Mervin (Tami) Thompson; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, sister, Emma Jesske; sisters-in-law, Betty, Jean, and Donelda Stock; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Melvin Thompson; beloved partner, Jack Wyatt; parents, Emil and Nathalie Stock; one grandson, Correy Poole; brothers, Herb, Clifford, and Dave Stock; sisters, Elsie Paul and Irene Thares; and son-in-law, Brian Mair. Clara was born and raised in the Richmound area. She settled in Medicine Hat in 1961 and it was here that she raised her family and then retired. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. A private family graveside service will take place on Thursday, November 19th, 2020. Memorial gifts in Clara's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 220, 6223 – 2 Street SE, Calgary, AB T2H 1J5.
