Daughter of Carl and Marte Kjorven, Clara was born in Cabri, SK on August 26, 1926. Clara grew up in Cabri, SK, spent most of her adult life in Medicine Hat, AB and moved to Valemount, BC in 2012 where she passed quietly in her home with her children by her side on Sunday, June 21st, 2020. Pre-deceased by Bill Lopeter, her husband of 48 years, Clara was mom to Rhondi, Billy and Samantha; Granny and Nana to Forest, Teara, Jayden and Joshua; and Nana-Nana to Mikayla and Kaia. Daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, wife, mother-in- law, grandmother, friend - Clara lovingly kept her door open to all. She helped to found what is now CORE Association in Medicine Hat, loved to go camping with friends and have family visit, and in her last years she enjoyed the view of the mountains from her front deck. Her family is grateful for the compassionate care and support of Dr. Keyter and the local Valemount Clinic team. A family celebration will take place at a later date.
