Cheryl Anne Akoak was called home on April 7, 2021. She is now safe in the arms of her Creator. Cheryl leaves behind her parents, David and Annie Akoak; her only surviving grandparent, Joseph Akoak; her two adorable children, Natalie-Faith Akoak and Johnny Alurniq Akoak in the loving care of her parents; brothers, David Jr. Akoak (Lisa Bachellier) and Jayko Akoak; sister, Barbara Akoak, nieces Farrah, Ivory, and Jade; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. On that Wednesday, the world lost one of the most courageous and full of life people. Cheryl continuously navigated much of her life’s challenges and was never willing to give up the fight for a better life. She was a shining example of grit, perseverance, resilience, and a strong will. Anyone who had the opportunity to truly know her will always remember the impact she had on their lives. Cheryl’s spirituality, smile and sense of humour will be missed by many. Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
