Obituary for Carole Dawn Heron (Hermanson)

Carole Dawn Heron (née Hermanson) was called home suddenly to her Lord on February 1, 2022 at the age of 76 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Alisen Nagy; sons, Aric (Treva) and Ash (Tanya) Heron; granddaughters, Eden and Erin Nagy; and grandsons, Camden, Lincoln, Emmett and Grady Heron; as well as her siblings, Derwood (Arlie) Hermanson, Marilyn (Ed) Olson, Micki (Brad) Olfert and Melodie (Len) Nakashimada. Carole was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Daryl and her parents, Walter and Clarine Hermanson. Born on August 31, 1945, she was raised on the family farm and was an active member of her community. After graduating from the University of Regina, she became an adored teacher in Swift Current, Saskatchewan before marrying the love of her life, Daryl Heron, on July 23, 1966. In 1981, Daryl’s job took them to Medicine Hat, Alberta which is where they raised their family and Carole assumed the role of devoted wife and mother. Later, Carole enjoyed a career in fashion retail management. Those who know her will remember a woman with impeccable fashion sense, she was always “put together” even in a casual setting. She was always supportive of her children in whatever endeavors and athletics they were involved in, she created a comfortable and loving environment and was always known for keeping an immaculate looking home. In fact, everyone who visited was always treated to great food and an amazing visit. She loved to entertain and really enjoyed having a glass of wine on her deck with family and friends. Carole adored her grandchildren and always did her best to be a loving presence in their lives despite distance. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A private family service will be held at Hillcrest Church. Due to Covid-19, attendance is by invitation only.
