Obituary for Brenda Louise Sproat (Peterson)

Brenda Louise Sproat (nee Peterson) passed away suddenly at home on November 5th, 2022. Born August 5th, 1951 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Mary-Lou Peterson. Brenda is survived by her daughters, Heather (Marc LeBlanc), Jackalynn (Jeff Clugston), and Sharmane (Bill Kuhlmey); son, Ray King (Melissa); grandchildren, Calum (Tara), Aaron, Liv, Raven, Kenna, Brett, Dax, and Julien; sisters, Cheryl (Stuart) Maddaford, Karen (Grant) Babitzke, and Lori (Ian) Pollock; sister-in-law, Julie Peterson; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Jack Sproat; and brother, Jim Peterson. Brenda loved and cared for many children who attended Calder Circle Children’s Centre, which she owned and operated for over 25 years in Medicine Hat. During her holidays, she enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband, Jack, and family. She will also be missed by fellow members of the "British Wives Club."
