Obituary for Annie Wutzke (Kungel)

Annie Wutzke of Medicine Hat, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 at the age of 85 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Gary Wutzke, Shirley McDonald, and Susan Reid; granddaughter, Stacey Fuoco; great-grandchildren, Tasha, Levi, Gracyn, Shayd, Bayn, and Trevor; brother, Jim (Sharon) Kungel; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Adam and Katie Kungel; sons, Stanley, and Robert; grandson, Dwayne Radke; brother, Henry Kungel; and sister, Betty Phillips. Annie was raised in Tothill, AB. At the age of 19 years, she married and moved to Robertson. It was there that she started her family. She enjoyed working on the farm, riding horses, and tending to the other animals. Later, she moved to Brooks and then to Medicine Hat. Annie loved gardening, cooking, canning, baking, and crocheting. She was proud of her country roots and enjoyed the Stampede Parade, rodeo and chuckwagon races, and country music. A private Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, MEDICINE HAT, AB T1A 1Z5, on Monday, January 18th, 2021 with Pastor Shane Hein officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Due to current COVID-19 -19 restrictions, attendance will be by invitation only.
