Condolences

Condolence From: Jackie Greeley
Condolence: To the late Dave Winkler family, Dave was my neighbour when the Greeley's lived in Redcliff. When my dad passed away I knid of adopted Dave. Everyone in my family at the time felt a certain security knowing Mr. Winkler was across the street. Just as he watched over us, we watched over him. My ex-husband was often called to fix Dave's TV, to close the garage or just check on him. But never were we allowed to help him mow his grass or shovel snow, Dave was a hard worker and never gave up his beloved riding mower. Sharing fresh baked bread, cakes or cookies was a sheer joy, because Dave loved receiving them. A few times Dave was ready to step in if my daughter, Mercedes arrived home from school earlier than the rest of us after work. She loved to chatter up a storm and I'm sure Dave thought at times that she never stopped. Dave was also so very proud of his children and grandchildren, every chances he got he shared stories of what was new in their lives. I will never forget my neighbour across the street, those who had the chance to meet him have been truly blessed. My condolences to his entire family.
